Pregnancy Mask

Treating Melasma

Melasma is characterized by tan or brown patches on the face, commonly cheeks. When melasma occurs during pregnancy, typically during the second and third trimesters, pregnancy mask is the common term. Expecting mothers experience increased estrogen, progesterone, and melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH) levels resulting in this hyperpigmentation.

I searched for treatments for my melasma for years - creams, peels, you name it.
Kyla, owner at Illuminate Skin Therapies, was the first person who was able to truly help me. I completed the 8 week Complexion Rehab and couldn’t believe the results. My melasma was noticeably lighter and my skin was glowing! I now continue my sessions twice monthly and use the Illuminate’s skin care exclusively.

I love my skin and I love this place!!
I highly recommend a visit!
